I Haven't Disappeared...

I'm just preoccupied with the new house, but I've been knitting when I can. I've been working on Quant from Knitty. I'm using yarn from Dancing Leaf Farm- it's Rhumba in Briar Patch. So far so good! The entrelac keeps things interesting, but it's not so complicated as to drive you nutty.

The shawl I started awhile ago hasn't been touched since I blogged about it, and I'm thinking about ripping it out and doing something different with the yarn. I'm just not feeling it, and the thought of knitting another thousand or so yards of it makes me a bit nauseous.
That's it for now.

I Got Nothing

Seriously. This whole buying a house thing wiped me out, and I have barely been knitting. My socks are on hold, and I did start a small something-or-other for Cass's birthday. And I can't do anything else because I've packed up all my knitty things! But it did make me feel a bit warm and fuzzy to see that I have four garbage bags full of yarn.

I promise to make up for the past several shitty posts when I start fixing up my new knitting room! Yay knitting room!

Oops

I have been neglecting this blog, but for good reason- Scott and I are getting a house! Yay!

But anyways, I finished my Obama afghan strip... go here and donate $$! Illinois represent, motherfuckers! And of course I was so preoccupied with getting the strip in the mail, I forgot to take pictures. Just imagine a four inch wide garter stitch strip with seemingly random blocks of red, white, navy and light blue.

Now that it's done, I have zero knitting pressure. Ahhh... it's very nice. I picked up a sock I haven't touched in months, and plan on making the pair for myself.

In two weeks, the husband and I will be driving back to Illinois for a few days, and while knitting in the car tends to make me nauseous, I'm wondering if I can spin in the car. It will be interesting to find out, but first I should probably try to see if there's even enough room. Hmm. I'll let you know.
